Bragg Gaming Group has announced a leadership transition, appointing Morten Tonnesen as Interim Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect on 6 November 2026. Matevz Mazij, who has led the company since August 2023, is moving from the CEO position to become a Strategic Advisor to the board.
Tonnesen joined Bragg in March 2026 as Chief Operating Officer and will now take responsibility for day-to-day operations, reporting to the board. His background spans more than 17 years across B2C and B2B iGaming, sports betting and technology. He co-founded betting operator BetWarrior, spent six years at PokerStars, and has held senior roles at Shape Games and Xtremepush.
Mazij will advise the board on strategic matters and support continuity with key stakeholders, but the company said the role carries no day-to-day management responsibility. The board identified disciplined execution, balance-sheet strength, operating cash flow and technology and content development as priorities for the next phase.
The appointment comes as Bragg prepares to report third-quarter 2026 results on 13 November. The transition places operational delivery and financial discipline at the centre of the company’s near-term agenda, while retaining Mazij’s experience in an advisory capacity.
