Instant Win Gaming (IWG) has expanded its Rocket Jackpots programme to include the Kentucky Lottery and Pennsylvania Lottery, bringing the network to four participating US lotteries. The additions follow earlier launches with the North Carolina Education Lottery and Virginia Lottery.
Rocket Jackpots is a multi-state progressive programme built around two separate jackpots, the Power Jackpot and the Boost Jackpot. Both prizes accumulate independently during regular play, before being combined into a larger Power Boost Jackpot during scheduled daily periods known as Power Boost Hours.
How the jackpot system works
When a Power Boost period ends, the combined prize separates back into the two original jackpots, which continue to grow until the next scheduled merge. The format is designed to create recurring jackpot events while allowing participating lotteries to share a linked progressive prize structure.
The system runs on IWG’s InstantFuse technology and its proprietary InstantRGS platform. IWG says the platform allows new lotteries to join without requiring development work from each lottery’s existing iLottery platform provider. The supplier also acts as jackpot manager and oversees the settlement of prize funds across participating jurisdictions.
Jason Lisiecki, IWG’s Executive Vice President, said the addition of Kentucky and Pennsylvania reflected interest in the format and its recurring jackpot mechanic. The company expects the programme to expand into further markets.
A growing lottery technology network
IWG develops instant-win games for lottery organisations and says it produces more than 300 new InstantGames each year. Its Rocket Jackpots expansion demonstrates how suppliers are using shared technology to connect separate state lottery markets through common game and jackpot infrastructure.
The latest additions give the programme a broader footprint in the United States and provide participating lotteries with access to a shared progressive jackpot format. Future growth will depend on further lottery partnerships and the ability to integrate the product into each jurisdiction’s existing digital offering.
